Sam Williams wins the 2023 Les McIntyre Medal in the Canberra Raiders Cup

Queanbeyan Kangaroos captain coach Sam Williams has won the 2023 Les McIntyre Medal, crowned the best and fairest of the Canberra Raiders Cup competition.

The Former Canberra Raider pipped Belconnen United Sharks half Matthew Woolnough, to take out the prestigious medal in his first full Canberra Raiders Cup season.

Former Raider and Goulburn halfback Mitch Cornish and Woden Valley Rams hooker Mitchel Souter finished as finalists, wrapping up an incredible regular season of the Canberra Raiders Cup competition.

17 points - Mitchell Cornish (Goulburn City Bulldogs)

16 points - Mitchel Souter (Woden Valley Rams)

The finals series will kick-off this weekend with West Belconnen Warriors hosting Belconnen United Sharks in an elimination final at Raiders Belconnen on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the first Grand Finalist will be settled when the Queanbeyan Kangaroos host Tuggeranong Bushrangers in the major semi-final, at Seears Workwear Oval on Sunday afternoon.
