NSW Cup Finals Week Two Preview

The Raiders NSW Cup win against the Sea Eagles last weekend has set up a minor semi-final clash against the New Zealand Warriors on Saturday afternoon.

The match will be part of a finals double header at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday at 1pm, with the winner between the two teams to take on the Bears or Rabbitohs in the preliminary final.

The Raiders were victors by a penalty goal over the Sea Eagles, with a strong Warriors side awaiting them this weekend.

The Warriors have beaten the Raiders on both times this season, with the most recent occasion going down by a one-point field goal in New Zealand.

The Raiders will endeavour to learn from these previous encounters as the must-win clash awaits them.

Their defensive efforts against the Sea Eagles are to be commended, as many individual efforts saved countless tries to keep them in the game and eventually get over the line with the win.

The Raiders are on a hot streak of form having won their last six straight games with their last loss coming against the Warriors in the one-point loss.

Raiders winger James Schiller has been called up to the NRL squad this weekend, with Utuloa Asomua named as the replacement.

Jake Clydsdale comes into the side in the front row replacing Peter Hola, with Jed Stuart also replacing Luke Webley in the second row.

The Warriors were defeated by the Rabbitohs last weekend but are awarded a second chance this weekend, as many team changes come from it.

Edward Kosi comes into the backline for the Warriors who replaces Patrick Moimoi whilst Ronald Volkman returns to the halfback spot.

The game will take place at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday with kick-off between the two teams to take place at 1pm.
