Team of the Year 2023: Centre

Congratulations to Harry Quinlan of the Queanbeyan Kangaroos for his selection at centre in the 2023 Canberra Raiders Cup Team of the Year.

Quinlan had an exceptional debut year in the Canberra Raiders Cup, playing a pivotal role in the Roos’ premiership season.

The former Canberra Royals player made the code switch from rugby union to league this year and had no troubles adapting to his new sport.

Playing alongside a high-calibre halfback in Sam Williams, coupled with his speed and power, Quinlan got over the line for 17 tries this season.

He led the try-scoring tally for the majority of the competition but ended up finishing the year with the second most tries, one below the top.

After such an outstanding season with the Roos, Quinlan landed a contract with the Townsville Blackhawks who compete in the Queensland Cup.

The Blackhawks' recent affiliation with the South Sydney Rabbitohs has presented the opportunity for a select few of their players to participate in a preseason with the Rabbitohs, Harry being one of them.

The CRRL believe Quinlan’s future in rugby league is bright and we are excited to see where he can take his career.
