Inaugural Junior Score Raiders Program

The CRRL is seeking expressions of interest for participants in our inaugural Junior Score Raiders Program.

This project is inspired by the success of the established Score Raiders Program, run by The Disability Trust, that offers modified and inclusive rugby league to those with disabilities 18 years old and above.

With no current opportunity for children with disabilities to play rugby league in Canberra, we have developed the Junior Score Raiders Program.

The Junior Score Raiders game will be an adapted version of League Tag/two-handed-touch that will teach the basic ball skills and fundamentals of rugby league in a non-contact format.

Players will be allocated to a team embedded within their local rugby league club. The teams will be set up like any other Junior Rugby League teams, where parents and carers are encouraged to participate as the accredited coaches, managers and trainers, who will be given support from their club as well as from Officials of The Disability Trust and our local NRL Development Officers.

Being a part of the rugby league community through your local club creates an expansive support network for everyone involved and now that will be open to players with a disability.
