Junior Reps Preview: Round Three

The Canberra Raiders three junior rep sides will all chase their first win this Saturday, when they travel to PointsBet Stadium to take on the Cronulla Sharks.

Westpac Tarsha Gale Cup

The Raiders TG Cup side will kick-off the triple header at Cronulla this Saturday, when they take on a sixth placed Sharks outfit in round three of the competition.

The Raiders were defeated 36-6 by Steelers last weekend but showed an improved second-half, holding Illawarra to just six points.

Cronulla have won two from two to begin their 2024 campaign, defeating both Parramatta and Wests Tigers.

The Raiders will look to put in a big performance, eyeing-off their first win of the season.

UNE Harold Matthews Cup

The Raiders HM Cup side will look to bounce back after a disappointing second-half against the CC Roosters last weekend, going down 38-10.

The Raiders will be aiming for a full 60-minute performance this Saturday, after proving they can start well in the opening two rounds of the competition.

They will take on a Cronulla side who will want to be back in the winner's circle, going down 34-20 to Parramatta last weekend.

Canberra will look to tighten up their defence after the attack has shown some good potential, with Hardy Glover and Cooper Johnston putting in strong performances to start the year.

UNE SG Ball Cup

The Raiders SG Ball Cup side will be looking to forget the opening two weeks of the season, recording losses against Newcastle and Illawarra.

They will get a great opportunity to kickstart their season this Saturday when they take on Cronulla, who are also coming off a 28-18 defeat to Parramatta.

Like the HM Cup side, the Raiders will look to tighten up their edge-defence, having leaked far too many points over the opening rounds.

The Raiders halves combination of Ethan Alaia and Keahn Skipps played their first game of the season together last weekend, where they will look to combine again to score points this Saturday in an important match against the Sharks.
