Raiders NRLW players to feature in BMD Premiership

There’ll be a few familiar faces from the Raiders NRLW team taking to the field from this weekend as Queensland’s BMD Premiership gets underway.

The competition starts this weekend with one game - the Wynnum Manly Seagulls take on the Souths Logan Magpies on Saturday 2nd March at 8pm at Logan Metro Football Fields.

After her impressive debut NRLW season, Raider #18 Emma Barnes will again line up for the Seagulls, named at hooker for their round one match.

The rest of the competition kicks off next weekend with several Raiders representatives in action across the Premiership.

Raider #16 Tara Reinke will run out for the Western Clydesdales, one of the new teams in the competition, when they take on the Central Queensland Capras next Saturday 9th March at 2.25pm at Clive Berghofer Stadium in Toowoomba.

Raiders co-captain Zahara Temara will again be joined by sister Chanté as well as Sophie Holyman in the Burleigh Bears team, who will be looking for back-to-back titles after their grand final win over the Wynnum Manly Seagulls in 2023.

The Bears will take on Norths Devils next Saturday 9th March at UAA Park on the Gold Coast at 3.15pm.

Ash and Felice Quinlan will wear new colours in 2024, signing with the Tweed Seagulls.

The Seagulls will play the Mackay Cutters on Saturday 9th March at 8pm at BB Print Stadium, Mackay.
