Junior Reps Wrap: Round Eight

The Raiders Harold Matts and Tarsha Gale Cup sides had convincing wins over the Dragons on Sunday afternoon's action at Forshaw Park.

Meanwhile, the SG Ball Cup side were defeated, hurting their finals chances going into the final round.

Harold Matthews Cup

The Raiders closed out round eight of the HM Cup competition with a dominant 34-14 victory over the Dragons on Sunday afternoon.

Kruger Roache continued his strong form of late, crossing for a double in the side's victory.

After a tight first half, the Raiders ran away with the victory after scoring three converted tries in the second half to close out a good win.

The Raiders will look to finish their season on a high in the final game of the year, when they take on the Rabbitohs at Seiffert Oval this Saturday.

SG Ball Cup

The Raiders suffered a disappointing loss in the SG Ball Cup, going down 54-16 to the Dragons on Sunday.

In what was a must-win, Canberra trailed big in the first half, facing a 36-6 deficit at halftime.

Tries to Mahonri Tiotala and Sam Gash weren't enough to turn the momentum as the Dragons continued to pile the points on and cruise to victory.

The Raiders will now travel to Redfern Oval to face the Rabbitohs in the final round of the competition.

Tarsha Gale Cup

The Raiders Tarsha Gale Cup side recorded a strong 34-10 victory over the Dragons, rounding out a triple header at Forshaw Park.

Canberra crossed for six tries in the side's big win with Claudia Finau, Elise Simpson and Lara Cosgrove all claiming try doubles.

This victory marks a strong response from their disappointing loss to Parramatta in the round prior.

The Raiders will now look to make it two in a row when they face Souths in Queanbeyan this Saturday.
