In 2024, our Wheelchair Rugby League program will reach new heights, with inclusion in the NSW Cup Wheelchair Competition as the Entice Travel Rolling Raiders.

Hear from CRRL Chaiman Gary Green, as well as foundation Rolling Raiders players Amanda Carlyon and Chris O’Brien ahead of the upcoming season.

The Entice Travel Rolling Raiders will take to the court next Saturday (April 6th) for their inaugural NSW Cup fixture.

This epitomises all the hard work the CRRL have put into our Wheelchair Rugby League program over the last 2 years. Providing extensive opportunities for new players to get involved in Rugby League.

Rolling Raiders player Chris O'Brien suffers from a medical condition that affects his ability to participate in traditional sports.

"Being able to do a sport like Wheelchair Rugby League gives you a huge dimension of freedom and an outlet that you wouldn’t necessarily expect that you could get," said O'Brien.

"I’m really grateful to have found this sport and really enjoy the opportunities the sport provides for both physical and mental health."

Wheelchair Rugby League isn’t just a sport for people with a disability or in a wheelchair, it is all-inclusive.

"I’d played a few other wheelchair sports and I didn’t find that they were the right fit for me, then I found the Wheelchair Rugby League and that was much better, being an ex-footballer," said Rolling Raiders player Amanda Carlyon.

It’s never too late to get involved in Wheelchair Rugby League and you could become the next Rolling Raider.
