Katrina Fanning Shield: Round Three Preview

Round three of the Katrina Fanning Shield will see four exciting matchups take place, with teams looking to add to their win tally or secure their first competition points of the year.

Tuggeranong Bushrangers v West Belconnen Warriors, 10:40am Saturday at Greenway Oval

The Tuggeranong Bushrangers will host the West Belconnen Warriors with a thrilling match up at Greenway Oval this Saturday.

West Belconnen are yet to begin their season due to the round one washout and the bye last week.

The reigning premiers will be itching to get onto the field and start their season with a win.

Following a strong 2023 campaign, where they secured third position on the ladder in the tier two competition, the Bushrangers will be disappointed in last weeks loss.

The Warriors will have the Bushrangers on their back as both teams look to secure their first win of the 2024 season.

Belconnen United Sharks v Queanbeyan Blues, 10:40am Saturday at NSWRL HQ, Bruce

The Belconnen United Sharks will host the top of the table Blues this Saturday at NSWRL HQ, Bruce.

The visitors are looking to showcase their proven talent against the Sharks after securing a massive win in round two.

While Belconnen United come into this weekend with their heads held high after keeping strong contenders Gungahlin to a respectable score margin in their first ever KFS match.

The Sharks, who have shown they don't shy away from strong teams, will have their work cut out for them on Saturday, as they face a Blues side that's coming in with plenty of confidence and momentum.

Yass Magpies v Gungahlin Bulls, 12:00pm Saturday at Walker Park

The Yass Magpies look ahead to host the Gungahlin Bulls this Saturday at Walker Park.

Both teams secured victories in their opening matches and look to go back-to-back with strong performances this weekend.

Following successful 2023 campaigns, with Yass securing the minor premiership and Gungahlin a point behind in second, both sides showcased last weekend that they'll be strong again this year.

The Magpies secured a 36-4 win against Goulburn, while the Bulls got over the Sharks a 22-4.

This game will be a must watch as they both look to secure their second win of the season this Saturday.

Woden Valley Rams v Goulburn City Bulldogs, 9:30am Sunday at Phillip Oval

The Woden Valley Rams look ahead to host the Goulburn City Bulldogs this Sunday at Phillip Oval.

Woden showed their intentions to be strong competitors early, securing a healthy 36-12 win against the Tuggeranong Bushrangers.

The Bulldogs were disappointingly defeated by Yass 36-4, and will be motivated to improve in search of their first win.

The Rams will be confident they can secure back-to-back wins, while Goulburn will be rearing to bounce back from a disappointing result last week.
