The Yass Magpies secured a dominant victory against the Belconnen United Sharks over the weekend.

The Magpies went off and running with six tries, including lock forward Samara Afele crossing the line for a hat trick.

The Sharks didn't go down without a fight, with three players reaching the try line, including Angelina Costa, Kristina Haridemos, and Ella Kelly.

Looking ahead to round eight, Magpies aim to secure back-to-back wins against the Kangaroos. Meanwhile, the Sharks look to redeem themselves with a victory against Bushrangers.

Tuggeranong Bushrangers 36 defeat Bungendore Kangaroos 8

The Tuggeranong Bushrangers tasted victory for this first time this year with a strong win over the Bungendore Kangaroos.

There were many Tuggeranong players that contributed to the points tally, with seven different players reaching the try line, including Ahlivia Ingram who crossed for a double.

The Kangaroos showed positive signs when they were able to break through on two occasions, with Gypsy-Rose Brookman and Carrie Jackson scoring four-pointers.

This weekend, the Bushrangers focus their attention on their next matchup against the Sharks, while the Kangaroos look to build on their performance against Yass.

Gungahlin Bulls 66 defeat Goulburn City Bulldogs 6

The Gungahlin Bulls remain undefeated with an exhilarating 60-point victory over the Goulburn City Bulldogs.

Bulls winger Caitlin Turnbull was a standout once again, scoring a whopping seven tries. Five eighth Tijana Zdraveska was also handy, crossing for a double and having success with the boot.

Goulburn's only try of the day came through Cobie Sheehan, but it wasn't enough to inspire more to follow.

Ahead of round eight, Bulls look to remain consistent when they come up against Woden. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs look to redeem themselves against West Belconnen.

West Belconnen Warriors 30 defeat Queanbeyan Blues 4

The West Belconnen Warriors came away with a strong win against the previously undefeated Queanbeyan Blues over the weekend.

In scoring seven tries to Queanbeyan's one, Warriors centre Jade Harding impressively scored four tries.

With the Blues' winning streak coming to an end, they will get a well deserved rest this weekend with the bye after a great start to their 2024 campaign.

Meanwhile, the Warriors look cement their top four position when they come up against Goulburn on Saturday.
