NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round 17 Preview

The Raiders Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup sides will travel to Auckland to take on the New Zealand Warriors on Saturday in a bid to cement their positions in the top two.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Jersey Flegg Cup side will kick-off a double header at Go Media Stadium, with the Raiders eyeing off their fifth straight win.

Canberra enter this contest off the back of a tough 18-16 come-from-behind victory over the Eels.

Their recent form sits them outright first on the ladder, with a huge opportunity to kick further in-front on Saturday.

The Warriors are eyeing off their third straight defeat, with the NZ side looking to put in a strong performance back at home.

The NSW Cup side will round out the double header, taking on the Warriors at 12:40pm on Saturday afternoon.

This clash shapes up to be a cracker given the tightness of the top four and both sides eyeing off an important win.

After a steady start, the Warriors have come into form, winning six of their last seven to jump into fifth on the ladder.

Meanwhile, the Raiders have been ever so consistent, only one point behind the competition leader's North Sydney, the visitors will be looking for an ambush.

The clash of the fullbacks between Manaia Waitere and Taine Tuaupiki is enticing, given the exciting ability of the two, they will be influential in either side getting the victory.
