The results of round 17 in the Blumers Lawyers Katrina Fanning Shield this weekend will shake up the top four standings.
Gungahlin Bulls vs Woden Valley Rams, 12:00pm, Saturday at Gungahlin Enclosed Oval
The Gungahlin Bulls will host the Woden Valley Rams in a huge top four clash on home soil.
With the bye next week, the Bulls will look to re-gain confidence in their last game before finals, following a disappointing loss to Goulburn.
Gungahlin have a chance to secure an important top-two spot with a win this week, although they likely wont retain it with a final round bye.
Meanwhile, Woden had the week off last week and now have two games to push for the Minor Premiership, or at least secure a top-two finish.
The last time these two met in round eight, Woden had the edge over Gungahlin in a 22-20 thriller.
Yass Magpies vs Bungendore Kangaroos, 12:00pm, Saturday at Walker Park
The Yass Magpies will face the Bungendore Kangaroos in their quest for the Minor Premiership.
After a disappointing start to the season, the Magpies have gone on an exceptional run, winning nine of their last 10 games.
They now sit level on points with second place and have two games left to potentially claim the top spot.
Their opposition, the Kangaroos, won’t be an easy two points, as they are coming off their best performance of the year, narrowly falling short against Tuggeranong.
Belconnen United Sharks vs Tuggeranong Bushrangers, 12:00pm, Saturday at NSWRL HQ Bruce
The Belconnen United Sharks will take on the Tuggeranong Bushrangers in front of their home fans.
Both sides are coming off close contests, with Belconnen falling short against Yass, and Tuggeranong edging out Bungendore.
Back in round eight, the Sharks claimed a strong 30-8 victory over the Bushrangers.
In the sixth versus eighth matchup, expect a free-flowing and exciting brand of footy, with both teams free from the pressure of playing finals footy in a few weeks.
West Belconnen Warriors vs Goulburn City Bulldogs, 9:30am, Sunday at Raiders Belconnen
The West Belconnen Warriors host the Goulburn City Bulldogs in what promises to be an exciting match up.
Although both teams are out of finals contention, they have proven the ability to beat the top four teams.
In the previous two rounds, the Warriors claimed victory over Woden, followed by a tight 2 point loss to the Blues.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs have been on fire, defeating both the Blues and Bulls in their past two games.
West Belconnen got the better of Goulburn in their previous match up, securing a strong 28-10 victory.
