The Canberra Raiders would like to thank Raider #322 Jordan Rapana for his outstanding contribution and commitment to the club, as it was confirmed overnight that he is departing the club to take up a two-year deal in the Super League.
Rapana made his debut for the club in 2014 after getting an opportunity from then Head Coach David Furner and has gone on to represent the Raiders in 214 NRL Matches.
On the field he will be remembered as a player who always gave 100% every time he took the field, with his effort and will to win a huge part of the Raiders for a decade.
Rapana finishes his time in green as a Meninga Medal winner (2021) and third all-time leading try scorer in club history with 106 tries. He was also a member of the Raiders 2019 Grand Final team.
Over his time in green Rapana has been a favourite among the Raiders members and fans, with Head Coach Ricky Stuart labelling him as one of the club’s greatest competitors across the club’s history.
Raiders CEO Don Furner said Rapana will sit among the Raiders greats in regards to his record and will always be remembered and welcomed at the club.
“Jordan’s competitiveness and passion for the Raiders jersey is something that will never be forgotten and he will go down as one of the club's best outside backs,” Furner said. “He’s record in playing over 200 matches and scoring over 100 tries speaks for itself and we know he’s been a much-loved player amongst the playing group and within the Raiders membership and fan base.”
“Jordan will always be welcomed at the Raiders and we wish him and his family all the best in his time in the Super League.”
