In what was the side's first ever match, the Raiders fought hard but the Eels proved too strong in the end.

The Eels opening the scoring in the first minute of the game, before Raiders winger Saige Fattore hit back with a try thanks to a great kick by halfback Adelaide Norris.

But from there it was one way traffic, with the Eels running in six straight tries to claim victory.

Westpac Tarsha Gale Cup

The Raiders Tarsha Gale team opened their 2025 campaign with a tough 54-12 loss to the Eels.

The Eels were too good for the Raiders, getting out to a 30-6 lead at half-time before going on with the job in the second.

Wingers Holly Williams and Gabriella Savage were the two try scorers for the Raiders, with Elise Simpson converting both tries.
