Junior Reps Preview: Round Nine

The final round of the regular season of the junior representative competitions is this weekend, with plenty on the line for our Raiders teams.

Westpac Lisa Fiaola Cup

The Raiders Lisa Fiaola side travel to Sydney to take on the Sea Eagles on Sunday, needing a win and results to go their way to make finals.

Currently sitting in ninth place, the Raiders are equal on points with the eighth-placed Steelers and just one win behind the sixth-placed Knights.

A win for the Raiders and a loss to the Steelers will see our girls finish in the top eight in their first season in the Lisa Fiaola Cup.

The Raiders are in strong form, having won their last two games including a dominant 30-0 win over the Rabbitohs last weekend.

There are a couple of changes to the side ahead of this weekend's clash. Evie Perry moves to the centres, with Shanaya Harrison on the wing.

Jordyn McFadden, Shayleen Coe and Skye Pegg are the new faces on the bench.

The Sea Eagles have had a tough season so far and are coming off a heavy 48-0 defeat to the Roosters.

Westpac Tarsha Gale Cup

The Raiders Tarsha Gale side are also in action against the Sea Eagles, in what will be their last game of the season.

The Raiders are sitting in ninth place heading into the final round, but with the eight placed Knights getting two points for the bye and the Sharks holding a far superior for-and-against record, the Raiders will just miss out on finishing in the top eight.

The Raiders have found some great form in the back end of the season, winning their last three games. Last weekend the side recorded a 38-12 victory over  the Rabbitohs.

Coach Nicole Fleming has named an unchanged lineup for this weekend's match, as the Raiders look to finish their season on a high.

UNE Harold Matthews Cup

The Raiders Harold Matthews team travel to Broadmeadows in Victoria to face the Storm on Saturday afternoon.

Currently in 10th place on the ladder, the Raiders are only two points behind the eighth placed Eels. With a -14 points differential, the Raiders will need to beat the Storm convincingly and for the Sharks and Eels to both lose for them to make the top eight for finals.

The Raiders have had a see-sawing season but have had some strong wins including last weekend against the Bears.

There have been some changes to the side for the Storm clash on Saturday.

Joaz Ayamiseba has been named in the centres, with Atlas Atilua shifting to the wing.

Zayd Williams steps into the halfback role, with Kodi Roberts at lock and Mitchell Sleigh moving into the front row.

The Raiders take on the Storm, who are currently on the bottom of the ladder.

UNE SG Ball Cup

The Raiders SG Ball team are in action at Raiders Belconnen on Saturday, before the Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg matches.

Taking on the Western Suburbs Magpies, the Raiders side are guaranteed a finals spot as they currently sit in third place.

The Raiders claimed a dominant 42-8 win over the Dragons last week, with Jamie Cowling scoring a double in the win.

They will look to continue their momentum this week when they take on the 10th placed Magpies.

Coach Rourke O'Sullivan has stuck with the same team that got the job done last week against the Dragons.
