SG Ball Cup Wrap: Finals Week 2

The Canberra Raiders are through to the SG Ball preliminary finals after a terrific 38-22 bounce-back win over the Bulldogs at Leichhardt Oval.

Jesse Milin opened the scoring within the third minute of play as he stormed over multiple defenders to give the Raiders the early lead.

It didn’t take long for the Bulldogs to hit back as they caught the Raiders' left side short, and Paul Johnson scored in the corner.

Both teams traded tries just before half-time to go into the break with the scores even.

The Green Machine came out firing in the second half with four tries to push their lead out of the Bulldogs' reach.

Jesse Milin completed his double, and he loves scoring tries against the Bulldogs, as he recorded his sixth try against them this year.

Canberra rounded up the game with a try from James Croker to give them a 38-22 win and book their spot in the Preliminary final.

The Raiders will have to be at their best when they take on the Roosters in a thrilling Preliminary final this Sunday at Lidcombe Oval.
