NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round 8 Preview

Fresh off two huge victories in the NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg, the Raiders will take on the Bears and Storm in important clashes at home this weekend.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders will take on Melbourne at Raiders Belconnen on Saturday in a huge top four battle.

Canberra bounced back in a big way after their round seven loss to Parra, scoring ten tries to down the Sea Eagles 56-24 at home.

Meanwhile, Melbourne were on the end of a shock 34-26 loss to the Silktails on Saturday afternoon.

With the Storm sitting in second and the Raiders in fourth, this match serves a great test for either side in the earlier rounds of the competition.

Knock On Effect NSW Cup

Canberra meet a seasoned Bears side on Sunday afternoon at GIO Stadium, looking to make it two in a row.

The Raiders have had an unlucky start to the season dropping a number of games by a try or less.

Although they turned it around on the weekend, piling on a 46-12 victory over Manly to carry some momentum into the next few weeks.

Raiders centre Manaia Waitere jagged a hattrick along with Noah Martin who crossed for a double.

The Bears will be raring to go after the bye last week and they will round out the Raiders' ANZAC Round home match at GIO Stadium on Sunday.
