Canberra Raiders legend Josh Papalii will etch his name further into club history this Sunday, when he becomes the Raiders’ all-time most capped player with his 319th NRL appearance.

The milestone will be achieved at GIO Stadium Canberra in the Raiders’ Round 14 clash, surpassing the previous club record of 318 games held by Jason Croker for nearly 20 years.

Papalii, who became the third Raider to reach 300 games in 2023, joins an elite group of just three players to have hit the triple-century for the Green Machine, alongside Jason Croker (318 games) and Jarrod Croker (307 games). The trio represent fewer than 1% of the 403 players who have pulled on the Raiders jersey in first grade.

“This is a monumental achievement not just for Josh, but for our entire club,” said Raiders CEO Don Furner. “He has been the heart and soul of this team for over a decade, and to now see him stand alone as the club’s most capped player is a proud moment for all of us.”
