NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round 13 Wrap

The Raiders NSW & Jersey Flegg Cup sides have reached the halfway mark of the competition, after they returned home with a win and loss against the Roosters on Sunday afternoon.

The Raiders JF Cup side continued their strong momentum into the middle stages of the season, bagging a 30-28 victory over the Roosters.

In a see-saw affair, the Raiders held a tight 12-10 lead at the halftime break.

The Roosters flew out of the gates in the second half, establishing a strong 28-18 lead with just over 10 minutes to go.

Canberra hit back through tries to Matua Brown and prop Jake Clydsdale to close the margin, before Braydon Darmody kicked the extra's to cement the victory.

Canberra currently sit third on the ladder, just one point behind the league leaders in Melbourne.

The Raiders will now turn their attention to Souths, when they return home to Raiders Belconnen on Saturday afternoon.

Knock On Effect NSW Cup

The Raiders NSW Cup side suffered a 48-24 defeat to the Roosters at Wentworth Park.

In a high scoring affair, the Raiders gave up a start to the Roosters in the early stages, trailing 28-6 at halftime.

Despite a Joe Roddy hattrick and a strong comeback, the Roosters closed out their win with three late tries.

The Raiders will return to GIO Stadium on Sunday afternoon, when they follow the NRL match against the Rabbitohs.
