NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round 14 Wrap

The Raiders NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg sides came away with a win and a loss after last weekend's meeting with South Sydney at home.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders Jersey Flegg side were victorious in Saturday's 38-22 win over the Rabbitohs at Raiders Belconnen.

Canberra came out of the blocks fast, overcoming an early try to lead 20-6 at the halftime break.

Jaxon Lavender claimed a second half double as the Raiders closed out a 38-22 win to put them just one competition point behind the Storm in first.

The competition ladder remains very tight with all top four sides separated by just one point.

Knock On Effect NSW Cup

The Raiders NSW Cup side fell 24-14 to South Sydney at GIO Stadium on Sunday night.

In what was a low scoring match, Canberra held a handy 10-8 lead heading into the final 20 minutes of the second half.

Raiders forward Joe Roddy claimed a double, adding to his tally of five tries in just his last two matches.

However, Souths ran away with the victory, scoring two late tries through right winger Ammaron Gudgeon.

The Raiders will now turn their attention to the North Sydney Bears ahead of their clash this Sunday afternoon.
