CRRL Coach Developer Liam Herbert held a coach's night at the Bungendore Tigers last Tuesday and helped the club's coaches.
Organised after the initial coaches visit, the committee of the Bungendore Tigers believed a training session conducted by Liam Herbert would benefit their coaches and provide them with valuable information.
Tigers Coaching Coordinator Luke Bayley commented on how the training session provided his coaches with a new perspective and ideas around their coaching.
"It gives the coaches more confidence, they are able to get out there and see things they aren't thinking about, so it's good to see an outside person come in to help them out," Bayley said.
CRRL coaches' developer Liam Herbert is excited about the idea of regular coach the coaches' nights with the aim to impart confidence and knowledge to junior level coaches.
"It's about passing on tools and ideas that can help benefit them along their journey as coaches with things such as facilitating methods, suggestions for drills and coaching skills," Herbert said.
The 45-minute session provided the coaches with an opportunity to come and learn modern day coaching techniques and methods, with the aim for these to be used with their respective teams, whilst also giving junior players at their club the best experience possible.
The success of the session can be measured by the response from the Tigers coaches and committee with the club already looking at locking in a second date.
"After tonight we were already asking about another session with Liam and I'd recommend it to any club who is thinking about organising one, 100%," Bayley said.
