The Woden Valley Rams and Belconnen United Sharks played out a 20 all draw at Phillip Oval on a picturesque winter's day.
The Rams milestone man Micheal Geiger tried to will his side over the line with a double in game 100, however a conversion from Sharks hooker Jack Milne has ensured both sides take a share of the points.
The Sharks started the better of the two sides, with Connor Massen collecting the kickoff after the ball landed in between three Rams players.
The early possession proved fruitful for the visitors with Captain Coach Zac Patch chipping down the short side and finding space in between the Rams winger and fullback, which Jay Slavin the most desperate for the footy and crossing for the opening try of the afternoon.
An error from Nic Marshall gave the Rams their first good ball opportunity, with the invitation proving critical for the Sharks, as Sean Maloney darted down the short sided and crashing over the try line, Scrivener added the extras.
Errors from Woden Valley’s outside backs provided the Sharks with multiple efforts at the Rams defensive line, Zac Patch taking full advantage once again combining with Slavin with a little grubber to regain the lead, 10-6.
The error plagued contest continued, with this time the Sharks providing the Rams with an opportunity, which they took full advantage off, running the ball on the last down the left-hand side of the field, Micheal Geiger skittling three defenders to score.
Both sides settled into the contested after a timid opening twenty minutes, with the Rams being the first side to claim consecutive tries, courtesy of their damaging centre Tomasi Bikaca who crashed over out of dummy half, extending the Rams lead to 14-10.
Half time came at the right time for both sides with it giving them an opportunity to regroup and discuss the error riddled first forty minutes.
It was the Rams who bounced out of half time the better of the two sides, with this early possession being capitalised on by the milestone man who came against the grain and scored his second of the afternoon.
The see-sawing contest continued, with the Sharks the next to score as they executed a perfect shift to the left finished off by their light-footed halfback Tristan Eldridge, bringing the Sharks within six points.
In the closing stages of the match the Sharks had multiple opportunities attacking the Rams try line, with the last pass proving the difference.
In the final minute of the contest a shift to the left edge proved trumps once again for the Sharks with Jacob Piper finishing off the movement and handing the stage to Jack Milne to have a shot from the sideline.
The young hooker who backed up after representing Erindale in the Peter Mulholland Cup on Friday, rose to the occasion and nailed the sideline conversion and leveled the scores right on the full-time siren.
