Jersey Flegg Cup: Round 19 Preview

The Raiders Jersey Flegg Cup side will travel to Fiji this Saturday to take on the Silktails as they eye off top spot on the competition ladder.

After a tough 26-24 loss to the Tigers last weekend, the Raiders remain in second position with the Storm being a win clear on top.

The Raiders will travel to take on the Silktails in their heartland of Fiji for the second time in the club's history.

Canberra halfback Ethan Alaia will partner captain Jalen Afamasaga in the halves with Tuialii brothers Mark and Luke lining up on an edge.

The Raiders forward pack is also bolstered by the return of backrower Jaxon Lavendar and Jordan Uta.

A couple of new faces on the bench include Mitchell Brophy, Jayze Tuigamala, and Shalom Uatisone.

These two sides met back in round two at GIO Stadium, with the Raiders running away 40-16 winners.

The Silktails have been a much-improved outfit in 2025 after their inaugural season in the Jersey Flegg Cup last year.

They've been a strong side in Fiji, winning back-to-back games on home soil earlier in the year before upsetting the ladder leaders in Melbourne.
