Boyle brought into NRLW Top 24 squad

Canberra Raiders NRLW Development player Lili Boyle has been brought into the club’s Top 24 squad following Ua Ravu’s season-ending ACL injury.

20-year-old Boyle joined the Raiders as a Development player at the start of the 2025 NRLW season from the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles where she played in the Tarsha Gale Cup and Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership teams in 2024.

Due to injuries in the NRLW squad, Boyle has already made her NRLW debut this season, playing in rounds one and three.

Raiders NRLW Coach Darrin Borthwick said while it was very unfortunate that Ravu will miss the season, he is pleased to have Boyle in the Top 24 squad for the rest of the year.

“Everything she has done during pre-season and the way she has carried herself during that period, we had a few little setbacks heading into round one and we got an exemption for her to play,” Borthwick said.

“It’s unfortunate for Ua to be missing out for the season but I think it was a no-brainer in the end to bring Lil into the Top 24.

“She’s shown all the signs of the type of player that she is and she’s a favourite within the group as well.

“It was an easy decision to bring her into the 24 and we’ll look for someone to come in and fill the development spot that she’s vacated.”
