Round 15 of the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup saw upset victories, with the top three teams all suffering defeats.
Tuggeranong Bushrangers 18 def. Queanbeyan Kangaroos 8
The Tuggeranong Bushrangers secured their seventh win of the season in a tight physical ten-point victory over the Queanbeyan Kangaroos.
The victory for the Bushrangers, sees the side cement their place inside the top four, currently sitting three points clear of the Rams in fifth, with the defence of the Bushrangers an impressive feature of their game.
Lachie Davis scored his twelve try of the season, however the highlight was Jayden Pollard's try in the dying stages which secured the win for the visitors.
Meanwhile, for the Kangaroos the loss is their third of the season and sees them remain in second position.
The battle in the middle was an extremely physical one, with the loss sure to make the recovery that touch harder for Queanbeyan.
Tuggeranong will be looking to continue their winning ways against the Queanbeyan Blues at Seiffert Oval, whilst the Kangaroos will look to bounce back against the Sharks.
Belconnen United Sharks 16 def. Gungahlin Bulls 6
The Belconnen United Sharks travelled to Gungahlin Enclosed Oval and secured the two points with a victory over the Gungahlin Bulls.
The Sharks were led by the ever-consistent forward Tommy Watego, who crossed for a try and helped Belconnen Untied secure their first win since Round Four.
Meanwhile, the loss for the Bulls could potentially be fatal for their season, with Gungahlin now two wins outside of the top four, Apenisa Driti continuing his form scoring the only try for the home side.
Gungahlin have the opportunity to bounce back next weekend against the Woden Valley Rams at Boomanulla Oval, while the Sharks welcome the Queanbeyan Kangaroos to NSWRL HQ.
Yass Magpies 22 def. West Belconnen Warriors 20
The Yass Magpies claimed a massive scalp on Saturday afternoon with an upset victory against the West Belconnen Warriors.
Magpies centre Jyi Little crossed the strip for a hat-trick in the victory, however the highlight for the home side was the match winning penalty goal from Kaiden Bell, who nailed the two points from the sideline, thirty meters out.
Whilst, for the Warriors the loss is their third consecutive, with West Belconnen now only one point clear of the Bushrangers in fourth and at risk of losing a home final.
The Warriors will be looking to return to winning ways next weekend when they travel up the highway to face Goulburn, while the Magpies bounce into the bye with a win.
Goulburn City Bulldogs 14 def. Queanbeyan Blues 12
The Goulburn City Bulldogs claimed a two-point victory over the Queanbeyan Blues at Workers Arena on Saturday afternoon.
In a back-and-forth contest, the home side never went behind on the scoreboard, with the Bulldogs able to claim back-to-back wins thanks to a penalty goal from Mitch Cornish.
The loss for the Blues is their first since Round 8, however with the results around them, they remain atop of the Canberra Raiders Cup ladder.
Goulburn will be striving for three straight wins next weekend against the West Belconnen Warriors at home, whilst the Queanbeyan Blues face the hottest team in the competition at the moment in the Tuggeranong Bushrangers.
