NSW Cup: Round 21 Wrap

The Canberra Raiders NSW Cup side have strung back-to-back wins after their 28-16 victory over the Newcastle Knights on Sunday afternoon.

After a slow start by the Raiders, Mitchell Prest came off the bench with plenty of impact, scoring under the sticks to level the match at 6-all.

Canberra built momentum, heading into the sheds with a commanding 16-8 lead at the halftime break.

Knights winger Wilson De Coursey bagged a double after the halftime break to put pressure on the Raiders in a must-win game for both sides.

Raiders forward Trey Mooney barged his way over the line in the dying stages to score and grind out a tough win for the Green Machine.

The Raiders will now turn their attention to the Magpies this weekend in their quest to play finals football.
