The CRRL is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Queanbeyan Blues club legend, Bobby Warner.
As a life member of the Queanbeyan Blues, Bobby dedicated over 50 years of service to the club.
Throughout his time with the Blues, Warner held many roles on the executive at both the senior and junior clubs, with 30 years of his service dedicated to the role of president within the junior club.
"It is with sadness that we have lost another of the history of the CRRL with the passing of Queanbeyan Blues and early Raiders Stalwart Bobby Warner," CRRL Chairman Gary Green said.
"It is only fitting that his memory will live on with the recent naming of the Bobby Warner Pavillion at Wright Park."
Bobby Warner's service will be held at Wright Park at 12:30pm on Tuesday the 5th of August, with this to be followed by a cemetery ceremony and wake at the Queanbeyan Leagues Club at 3:30pm.
The Queanbeyan Blues will commemorate Bobby's legacy by holding a minute silence at this weekend's senior games and wearing black armbands at junior games.
CRRL's condolences go out to Bobby's family and the wider Queanbeyan Blues family.
