Woden Valley Rams 24 def. Queanbeyan Blues 20
The Woden Valley Rams kept their finals chances alive with a comeback victory against the Queanbeyan Blues at Seiffert Oval.
Fullback Daine Spencer starred for the visitors, with one try that levelled the score, before kicking for himself and scoring the match winner five minutes later.
The loss for the Blues is their third consecutive and sees the minor premiership fall out of their reach with one game remaining.
Woden Valley will be searching for their fourth win a row next weekend against the Goulburn City Bulldogs, whilst the Blues face the Magpies in Yass before a bye in the washout round.
Tuggeranong Bushrangers 36 def. Goulburn City Bulldogs 22
Tuggeranong secured a ninth victory in a row on Saturday with a fourteen-point win against the Goulburn City Bulldogs.
The outside backs were strong for the Bushrangers with wingers Pollard and Davis crossing for tries and Lachlan Cunanan secured a try scoring double.
Goulburn have slumped to their second straight loss as a result, with the highlight of their afternoon a double from edge backrower Chaev Kolone.
Goulburn will be looking to bounce back next weekend against the Woden Valley Rams, whilst the Bushrangers have the bye to freshen up for a match against Yass to secure their finals place.
Belconnen United Sharks 28 def. Yass Magpies 18
The Belconnen United Sharks took a massive step to avoiding the wooden spoon last weekend after defeating the Yass Magpies.
Jacob Piper was the Sharks best out the back, crossing for two tries as they claimed their fifth win of the season.
Whilst for Yass the loss sees them remain in last position and will need to win their remaining games and rely on other results to avoid the dreaded wooden spoon.
Belconnen United will look to secure back-to-back wins next weekend against cross town rivals in the West Belconnen Warriors, meanwhile the Magpies face the Queanbeyan Blues.
Queanbeyan Kangaroos 40 def. West Belconnen Warriors 24
The Queanbeyan Kangaroos took a giant step towards claiming the minor premiership this weekend with a dominant victory over the West Belconnen Warriors.
In an all-round team performance, it was Kangaroos veteran Josh Ayres who led from the front crossing for two tries in the win.
The Warriors were reduced to 12 men in the first half of the contest and suffered their fourth loss in the last five weeks in the process.
The Kangaroos will be looking to secure the minor premiership next weekend when they face the Bulls at Gungahlin Enclosed Oval, whilst the Warriors face the Belconnen United Sharks at home.
