Belconnen United Sharks 28 def. West Belconnen Warriors 10

The Belconnen United Sharks have advanced to the 2025 Katrina Fanning Shield Grand Final with a dominant victory against the West Belconnen Warriors at Seears Workwear Oval on Saturday.

Belconnen United started the game in quick succession scoring five tries in the first half to stretch out to a monstrous 20-0 lead.

The Warriors had to reply quickly and did scoring their first try 32 minutes into the game to cut the deficit 20-4.

However, it was all Belconnen United as they were circling a Grand final spot scoring back-to-back tries to further push their lead out to 28-4.

Minutes before the end of the second half a break from the Warriors saw them score a consolation try going down 28-10 with Belconnen United booking the first spot in the Grand Final.

Woden Valley Rams 16 def. Yass Magpies 4

The Woden Valley Rams have kept their season alive in a tough and gritty contest against the Yass Magpies at Raiders Belconnen on Sunday.

It was a back and forth start between the two sides both testing each other's defence, with the first try scored in the 22nd minute of the game with Kaitlyn Andrews powering herself to the line to give the reigning premiers a 4-0 lead going into the half.

It took 40 minutes for the Rams to click into gear but a lovely short ball from Ella Cosgrove to a flying Magdalena Velovski saw the Rams draw the scores at 4-all.

It was all the Rams from there, scoring back-to-back tries with Indi Dyball and Lara Cosgrove going over to seal the deal and book themselves into a preliminary final.

The Rams will take on the Warriors next weekend at Gungahlin Enclose Oval in the preliminary final which will decide who will take on the Sharks in the Katrina Fanning Grand Final.
