KFS Team of the Year 2025: Wingers
Congratulations to Eliza Taylor (Belconnen United Sharks) and Roxy Horne (Yass Magpies) for their selection in the 2025 Blumers Lawyers Katrina Fanning Shield Team of the Year.
#2 - Eliza Taylor (Belconnen United Sharks)
After making the move from the Boorowa Roverettes to the Belconnen United Sharks this season, Taylor had a successful season on the wing for the KFS Runners Up.
Taylor boasted an impressive strike rate in the 2025 season, scoring 9 times in 12 games.
Along with her season the Katrina Fanning Shield, Taylor also featured in five games for the Canberra Raiders in the Tarsha Gale Cup where she crossed the line on four occasions.
Apart of the young core at the Belconnen United Sharks, Taylor will be key to their quest for Grand Final redemption in 2026.
#5 - Roxy Horne (Yass Magpies)
A premiership winner in 2024, Roxy Horne continued her impressive form into this season which sees her named in the 2025 Team of the Year.
Despite playing at fullback for the Magpies, Horne has been a consistent performer featuring in 11 games throughout the season.
A key attribute of Horne's game is her ability to carry the football back into the defensive line on kick returns.
For the Magpies, it was a tough season as they were eliminated in the minor semi-final after an injury impacted campaign.
