CRC Team of the Year 2025: Centres

Congratulations to Tom Haddad (West Belconnen Warriors) and Lucas Thomson (Queanbeyan Kangaroos) for their selection in the 2025 Canberra Raiders Cup Team of the Year.

#3 - Tom Haddad (West Belconnen Warriors)

Making the transition from Rugby Union this season, Haddad had an impressive first season with the West Belconnen Warriors.

The talented outside back featured in 15 games for the Warriors across three different positions and was an attacking threat for West Belconnen.

Despite playing majority of his football this season at Fullback, Haddad earns his spot in the Team of the Year as a strike centre, scoring eight tries across the 2025 campaign.

His best performance came in Round Nine against the Belconnen United Sharks, crossing for three tries and having his hand in two more.

Haddad has made an impact on the competition in his first full season, with it exciting to see how his football will develop in the years to come.

#4 - Lucas Thomson (Queanbeyan Kangaroos)

In arguably a career best year, Lucas Thomson starred for the Queanbeyan Kangaroos this season.

Featuring in every game for the Kangaroos, Thomson lead the league in scoring, with 248 points (13 tries and 98 goals), with this being over 100 points clear of his closest rival.

The outside back started the season in impressive form scoring five tries in six games.

Whilst poising attacking ability, Thomson also impressed with his defensive efforts as he would often be marking up against the competitions most attacking weapons.

Thomson also played in two games for Monaro this year, where scored a total of sixteen points.
