Josh Ayers has been selected in the Canberra Raiders Cup team of the year for the second straight season after another consistent season with the Queanbeyan Kangaroos.

The 2021 Les McIntyre Medalists continues to impress week in and week out with his performances and consistently executes his role as leader of the Roos forward pack superbly.

After a year of milestones last season, Ayers brought up another impressive feat playing his 100th First Grade game for the Queanbeyan Kangaroos in Round 18 against the Gungahlin Bulls.

In 17 games this season Ayers boasted a positive try scoring rate, crossing the line on fourteen occasions, whilst also making an appearance for Monaro this season.

In his first year in the Canberra Raiders Competition, Apenisa Driti made a significant impact for the Gungahlin Bulls in their quest up the ladder.

Featuring in every game this year, Driti produced consistent performances and was handful for opposition defenders.

After beginning the year in the front row, the transition to the backrow unlocked his footy and saw him score seven tries this season.

In 2026, Apenisa will return to the Gungahlin Bulls after announcing he has re-signed with the club to work alongside their new Captain Coach Matt Frawley.
