Law locked in until end of 2027 NRLW season

The Canberra Raiders are excited to announce the signing of Bobbi Law for the next two NRLW seasons.

Law joins the Raiders following three seasons with the St. George-Illawarra Dragons. The 28-year-old was previously part of the Newcastle Knights’ 2022 Premiership-winning side and was with the Sydney Roosters prior to that.

Law has represented the Indigenous All Stars on five occasions as well representing Australia in the Prime Minister’s XIII game against Fiji in 2019.

Raiders NRLW Coach Darrin Borthwick said he is excited to have Law’s experience in the squad for the next two seasons.

“Similar to Sheridan (Gallagher), Sheridan has won a comp at Newcastle, Bobbi has won a Premiership, having these type of players in and around your younger girls and what they add in terms of professionalism is terrific,” Borthwick said.

“Bobbi is coming off a season where I know she’s hungry, she didn’t play much footy this year through injury. To get someone of Bobbi’s calibre here, I have worked with her previously so I just know what she brings to the table on and off the field.

“She’ll fit into what it truly means to be a Raider and we look forward to having her here as well.”

Law said she can’t wait to get to Canberra and pull on the green jersey.

“I’m really excited to join the Raiders. I had been at my previous club for the last couple of years so I felt I needed a change to challenge myself,” Law said.

“I think Bortho and the Canberra girls have a really good squad so I’m really excited to meet new people and be in a new environment.

“To come to Canberra and be around some younger girls but also around some older experienced girls that I’ve looked up to for a long time, I’m only going to better myself as a player and a person so I’m really looking forward to it.”
