The 2026 NSWRL Junior Representatives season will kick off with a Regional Magic Round which will showcase 13 games from three regional NSW competitions across three different venues on one day (Saturday 31 January).
The 2026 Junior Representatives Regional Magic Round will feature matches from the SLE Laurie Daley Cup (Under 18s), Westpac Regional Lisa Fiaola Cup (Under 17s) and the SLE Andrew Johns Cup (Under 16s) at David Campese Oval and Seiffert Oval in Canberra, and Pirtek Park in the Hunter Region.
The metropolitan Junior Representatives season will start the following weekend (7-8 February) with the Central Coast Roosters joining the UNE SG Ball Cup (Under 19s) while Melbourne Storm will field teams in the Westpac Tarsha Gale Cup (Under 19s) and Westpac Lisa Fiaola Cup (Under 17s).
The addition of three more teams to the Junior Representatives Competitions for 2026 will see a total of 88 teams competing in NSWRL pathways next season which is a record for the organisation.
“The release of the draws for the NSWRL Junior Representatives Competitions is always an exciting time as it means the kick-off for our great game is just around the corner,” NSWRL Chief Executive David Trodden said.
“Our pathways competitions will always play a crucial role in the development of Rugby League players and there have been plenty of players who have come through them before going on to pursue successful careers.
“We now have a record number of teams competing this season with the game continuing to expand with the inclusion of Melbourne Storm in our female competitions for the first time for the Westpac Tarsha Gale Cup and Westpac Lisa Fiaola Cup.
“The Regional Magic Round is a great way to kick-off our Junior Representatives Competitions next year and I look forward to watching the next generation of talent in action.”
