As our NRL squad is being put through it's paces this pre-season, Raiders Group Catering Manager Terry D’ Arcy is also preparing for one of his toughest challenges yet. This February, Terry will take part in the Special Forces Challenge, led by Raiders past player Terry Campese.
Run by an elite team of ex-military personnel, the Special Forces Challenge will see 30 everyday people pushed to their physical and mental limits across 30 grueling hours, all in the name of raising vital funds to support young people through the Terry Campese Foundation’s youth mentoring programs.
Fundraising has been tracking well for Terry, with just over $40,000 raised so far. With four training sessions remaining, anticipation is building. Terry D'Arcy notes “Nerves are starting to build among the recruits”. “While no one knows exactly what to expect, one thing is certain, it won’t be easy” he said.
It’s fantastic to see members of the Raiders community getting behind our past players and supporting initiatives that help build brighter futures for young people across our community.
