The CRRL are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Paul Berry.

A true legend of the Canberra Region Rugby League, Tuggeranong Buffaloes and Buffaloes Old Boys Association, Paul leaves a lasting legacy as a player, coach and volunteer.

During his playing days, Paul represented the Canberra District and applied his trade at the North Canberra Bears.

In 1974, he became the first Captain-Coach of the Tuggeranong Buffaloes, laying the foundations for what the club has become today. Paul leaves a lasting legacy on the many players he coached at both junior and senior levels, shaping not only footballers but young men in the community.

Paul's son and grandson also played for the Buffaloes, meaning the Berry's became the first family to represent the club through three generations.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Paul's wife, Julie, family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Paul's funeral and farewell will be held on Friday 20th February 2026, at 9:00am, at Norwood Park. All are welcome.

Vale Paul Berry.
