In an action-packed day for the Monaro Colts at Seiffert Oval last Saturday, the Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley Cup sides claimed dominant victories, whilst the Open Women claimed a tight two-point victory to keep their campaign alive.
Meanwhile, the Open Mens side were unable to match it with a strong Newcastle Rebels side, ending their 2026 season in the process, while the Regional Lisa Fiaola season also came to an end on Saturday.
Regional Lisa Fiaola Cup (U17s)
Western Rams 68 def. Monaro Colts 0
It was a tough final outing for the Regional Lisa Fiaola squad, as they came up against the undefeated Western Rams.
The Rams continued their impressive season with their halves combination being extremely dangerous at Seiffert Oval.
Western move on to the next stage of the competition as the minor premierships, whilst for Monaro their campaign ends without a victory.
Andrew Johns Cup (U16s)
Monaro Colts 46 def. Western Rams 0
The Andrew Johns cup side continued their winning ways last weekend with a comprehensive victory over the Western Rams.
Captain Joel Trevethan continued his impressive season for Monaro, crossing for a try, whilst front rower Adam Dzaja brought the house down at Seiffert with a late double.
The eight try to nil victory, sees the Colts end the regular season with a 4-1 record and in second position on the ladder, with their opponent for the Semi Final still to be determined.
Laurie Daley Cup (U18s)
Monaro Colts 40 def. Wester Rams 18
The Monaro Colts Laurie Daley Cup side claimed a strong victory against the Western Rams, finishing the 2026 season on high.
In a tightly contested first half, the Colts entered the break with a slim six-point lead before a second half blitz saw them walk away with the two points.
Joaz Ayamiseba stared for the home side with the centre crossing the try line for a hat-trick, whilst Tyla Hope added six conversions.
The Colts finish with the same record as last year in the Laurie Daley Cup, with the side claiming two wins and three losses throughout the campaign, which will see them rely on other results to partake in finals.
Open Women's
Monaro Colts 30 def. Western Rams 28
The Monaro Colts women's side claimed a tight two-point victory against the Western Rams which sees them advance to the Semi Final stages of the knockout tournament.
Lara Cosgrove continued her try scoring form, whilst five-eight Teliya Hetaraka also scored an important try in the dying stages of the match.
The goal kicking from either side proved to be the difference with Siena Nehua perfect with the boot ensuring the Colts advance.
The Colts will travel to Dudley Chesham Sports Ground next weekend for their Semi Final matchup against the Norther Rivers Titans.
Open Men's
Newcastle Rebels 48 def. Monaro Colts 16
The Monaro Colts suffered a disappointing defeat against the Newcastle Rebels which sees their 2026 campaign comes to an end.
A strong first half from the Rebels, which included five tries, set the game up for the visitors with the Colts unable to restore the deficit.
Connor Williams continued his form in the Monaro jersey, with the talented five-eight scoring a try, whilst both wingers Tomasi Bikaca and Earldric Pehara crossing the stripe.
The Rebels will face the Norther Rivers Titans next weekend, whilst the players from Monaro will return to their clubs to continue their preseasons ahead of the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup.
