The Sea Eagles got out to an early 10-0 lead, before a perfectly-weighted kick from Coby Black found Sione Finau on the wing to score in the 23rd minute.

Manly scored once more before the break to take a 10-point lead into half-time, 16-6.

The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup Highlights | Round One - Sea Eagles v Raiders

The Raiders were quick to get on the scoreboard in the second half, when Owen Pattie was on the receiving end of an impressive passage of play involving Black, Matt Timoko and Michael Asomua.

The Sea Eagles were next to score, before the ball went through the hands for Finau to score his second of the afternoon.

Manly hit back again before Chevy Stewart dived over from dummy half to score to bring the deficit back to six points, 28-22.

The Raiders weren't done yet, with Kain Anderson scoring in the corner to bring his side to within two points in the final minutes of the game.

Black was unable to convert from the sideline, with the final score 28-26.

The Raiders NSW Cup team will travel to New Zealand later this week to take on the Warriors on Friday afternoon prior to the NRL match.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders Jersey Flegg Cup team recorded their first win of the season with an eight-point win over the Sea Eagles at 4 Pines Park, 38-30.

Manly were first on the scoreboard, before the Raiders hit back with tries to Sylas Simon and Luke Tuialii.

The home side scored two more tries before the half-time break, to take a 18-10 lead at half-time.

The Sea Eagles were first on the scoreboard in the second half, before the Raiders scored the next five tries - including a double to Malachi Smith and tries to Cooper Johnston, Braydan Darmody and a second try to Simon.

Manly scored a consolation try in the final minutes of the game, but the Raiders had already done enough to secure the win.

The Raiders Jersey Flegg Cup team will also take on the Warriors in Round Two, on Saturday at Dudley Chesham Sports Ground.
