The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders have set a new club membership record, with 26,174 members signed up so far for the 2026 season ahead of the Raiders' first home game at GIO Stadium Canberra on Thursday night.
It’s the fifth consecutive season that the Raiders have set a new membership record, surpassing last year’s total of 25,356, and it’s the first time the record has been set before the first home game of the season.
The club has set a target to reach 30,000 club members by 2030, with the new membership record and continued growth keeping this goal on track.
The surge in club membership reinforces the Raiders' connection to its fanbase across Canberra and the surrounding regions, and beyond, with increases across most membership categories, including full-season ticketed and supporter memberships.
In an encouraging sign for the club and its members, over 90% of the 2025 club membership base has already renewed, which is significantly higher than the NRL average.
Junior membership is also up 40% from last season, reflecting the club's continued push to make Canberra Raiders membership more accessible and appealing to families.
Full-season membership categories Gold Inner Bowl and Platinum Grandstand are already sold out for the year, while Silver Inner Bowl memberships are up 20% year on year.
Raiders CEO Don Furner said the club's continued growth in membership was a strong reflection of the Raiders' connection with the community.
“We’re extremely thankful for all of our loyal members who continue to support our club by signing on to become Canberra Raiders members,” Furner said. “I have said this on many occasions, but I truly believe we have the most passionate and loyal members in the game who continue to support the club and be there in numbers for each home game at GIO Stadium Canberra.”
Furner said the club was aiming to continue the on and off-field success achieved in 2025 and to continue to growing membership and attendance for home matches.
“2025 was a huge season for the club on the field, winning the minor premiership, but it was equally as successful off it, with five sold-out home matches and record membership numbers and attendance across the season.
“To have broken the club membership record already before the first home game of the season shows that the connection with our community remains as strong as ever, and we look forward to seeing continued growth and attendance again this year.”
