Jersey Flegg Cup

With their round six match-up against the Kaiviti Silktails unfortunately postponed last weekend, the Raiders will be heading to Seiffert Oval raring to go against the Storm.

Sitting on the brink of the top eight heading into round seven, Canberra will be hoping to build upon their two-match winning streak, which has featured some explosive attacking play, scoring 42 and 46 points against the Sharks and Knights respectively.

The Raiders will be without captain Braydan Darmody this weekend, seeing Callum Dowell link up with Jamie Cowling to form the halves pairing.

Elsewhere, Jayze Tuigamala returns to the starting lineup, having been called up to the NSW Cup side last weekend against the Bears.

On the other side of the field, the Melbourne Storm currently sit at tenth on the ladder, having picked up their first win of the season last weekend against the Warriors.

Historically, the Raiders have enjoyed a strong record against the storm, winning seven of their 10 matchups.

The Knock On Effect NSW Cup

Canberra’s NSW Cup team head to Seiffert Oval this Saturday searching for their first win of the season, currently sitting at the bottom of the competition ladder.

Despite being winless to start the season, the Raiders have shown a lot of fight throughout their first six games, having lost three matches by two points or less.

The Raiders have received a timely boost in the outside backs, with winger Savelio Tamale set to make his first appearance in Cup this Saturday.

Elsewhere in the backline, Daine Laurie is coming off a strong performance against the Bears last weekend, picking up a hattrick to tee off his try-scoring proceedings for the year.

Laurie, who has played fullback in his first three outings this season, will swap positions with five-eighth Ethan Alaia this weekend.

Melbourne head into Saturday’s matchup having won their second game of the year last weekend, 32-24 against the Warriors.
