NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round Nine Preview

The Jersey Flegg Cup will kick off the day at 12:30pm in an exciting match between the Raiders and the Roosters. 

The Canberra side are currently eighth on the ladder and are travelling up to Sydney to meet the 12th-placed Roosters on their home turf.

The Raiders will be looking to bounce back from their loss against the Wests Tigers last week or risk losing their current position in the Top Eight.

Meanwhile, the home side have conceded six losses so far this season, claiming victory only once against the last-placed Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

The Raiders have dominated the Roosters in their last two match-ups and will be hopeful of delivering the same result once again this weekend.

The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup

The Raiders NSW Cup boys face a tough battle against the Roosters in their game at 2:45pm.

The Raiders are sitting 13th on the ladder and hope to climb their way into the Top Eight in the coming weeks. 

The away side is coming off their first two wins of the season and look to continue this streak after a slow start to the year.

The Roosters have put on a dominating performance so far this season, sitting in third spot on the ladder with five wins and a consistent performance.

Fullback and kicker Chevy Stewart is out for the Raiders NSW Cup team after being named on the bench for the NRL side.

Ethan Alaia will replace him at fullback following an outstanding performance at halfback last week, scoring three tries against the Magpies to assist the Raiders in their victory.

The Roosters have the home ground advantage, but the Raiders will aim to keep their momentum going and ensure the Roosters are faced with a competitive challenge.
