The Canberra Raiders are pleased to announce the signing of Charlotte Basham to the club’s NRLW squad.
Basham joins the Raiders from the St George Illawarra Dragons, where she played 17 games since debuting in 2023.
The 20-year-old represented the Australian Schoolgirls in 2023 and played for NSW in their Under 19s Origin win over Queensland in 2024.
Raiders NRLW Coach Darrin Borthwick said he’s excited to have Basham join the squad.
“Charlotte brings an element of skill to our team, playing in the back row,” Borthwick said.
“From what I’ve seen she’s a good frame for a back rower and she’ll add an element of skill and toughness to our pack. I’m very excited to get to work with her.”
Basham said she’s excited to start her new chapter at the Raiders.
“I’m super excited for a new experience and new challenges, moving out of home. I’m really excited,” Basham said.
“I’m looking forward to building some new connections with the girls and the coaching staff and seeing how much I can improve my personal game and bring it to the team.”
