Jersey Flegg Cup: Round 6 Wrap

The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders JF Cup side went down 38-24 to the Silktails in Fiji over the weekend.

The Silktails took the Noa Nadruku Bowl home for the first time, after the Raiders held a 4-0 record going into Saturday's contest.

Canberra struck early, scoring two tries in the opening ten minutes through middles Jesse Milin and Luke Cannon to establish a 12-nil lead.

Fiji hit straight back with two tries of their own before a late first-half double for Milin as Canberra led 18-10 at the break.

However it was all one-way traffic in the second half with the Silktails piling on five tries to one to claim their second win of the season.

A big learning curve for the young Raiders side, they will get a fresh opportunity back at home this Saturday against the 13th placed Sea Eagles to return to the winner's circle.
