Soliola released for 2026 NRLW season

Raiders NRLW second rower Monalisa Soliola (Raider #11) has decided she will sit out the 2026 NRLW season.

Soliola, who played in the club’s first three NRLW seasons, has decided to take some time away from the game.

The 21-year-old debuted for the Dragons in 2022 at 18 and has played 25 NRLW games over four seasons.

Raiders NRLW coach Darrin Borthwick said the club was fully supportive of Soliola’s decision and wished her all the best for the remainder of the year.

“Mona has decided she wants to take a year off footy and I gave her my blessings to do that,” Borthwick said.

“She’ll always be one of our inaugural players, Raider #11. She’s definitely part of our history here as part of the women’s program.

“We’re happy for Mona to pursue whatever dreams she’s got now moving forward.”

Charlotte Basham will now come into the Top 24 squad following Soliola’s departure.
