NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round 13 Wrap

The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders NSW Cup side recorded a dominant win at home on Sunday afternoon, leading the Dragons 40-nil at halftime.

Meanwhile, the Jersey Flegg side suffered a 26-20 defeat as both grades have the bye this weekend.

Knock On Effect NSW Cup

The Raiders played their best half of football all season as they blew the Dragons off the park with an astonishing 40-nil lead at the break.

The Saints had no response as eight different try scorers crossed the line for the Green Machine, along with Coby Black's 6/8 conversion rate to defeat the visitors 44-16.

Canberra's centre pairing Mark Tuialii and Kain Anderson feasted on Sunday afternoon as Tuialii ran for 187 metres with a ridiculous 18 tackle busts, two line breaks and a try. Anderson had 16 carries for 225 metres, three line breaks, two try assists and 19 tackles.

The Raiders will enjoy a well-deserved bye weekend to regroup and gear up for the back end of the season. They currently sit six points outside the top five.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders JF Cup side went down 26-20 to the Dragons in Sunday's first match of a triple header.

In a see-sawing first half, the Dragons led the Raiders 16-10 at the break.

Raiders winger Kruger Roache crossed for a second half double in a bid to claw the lead back for the home side.

But it wasn't enough as the first-placed Dragons hung on to claim a six-point victory.

The Raiders will regroup with the bye this weekend and turn their focus to the Eels next weekend.
