Blues v Maroons – U19s, 2026
Full-time: Queensland have completed a clean sweep of this week's Origin games, the Under 19 men securing an impressive 28-14 victory at North Sydney Oval. Halfback Hayden Watson pulled the strings while back-rower Bishop Neal produced multiple powerful carries and hooker Amare Wynyard helped lay the platform as the visitors ran in five tries to two. Blues 14 - Maroons 28.
68th minute: We've got a late Captain's Challenge by the Maroons after a deflection was ruled to have travelled forward. Replays show the ball always travelled backwards and the on-field decision is overturned. Queensland ball with two minutes left on the clock. Blues 14 - Maroons 28.
Tupou Francis 2nd Try
65th minute: It's easy to see why there is so much hype around Warriors young gun Bishop Neal after his performance tonight. The Queensland back-rower attracted multiple defenders before offloading the ball to Alize Clarke, a couple of passes back infield and Tupou Francis has the try that should put this game to bed. Blues 14 - Maroons 28.
Toby Batten Try
60th minute: The Blues had to score quickly and that they have done. The Queensland defence rushed up, Toby Batten threw a dummy, stepped back inside before charging to the line and reaching out to slam the ball down. The Bunker took a close look at the grounding before giving it the air clear and NSW are back in this. Blues 14 - Maroons 22.
55th minute: The Blues have slowly started to gain the ascendancy but so far they haven't been able to breakdown the Queensland defensive line. An error by the Maroons has handed NSW an attacking set of six and they have to strike soon if they are to pull off the comeback. Blues 8 - Maroons 22.
Hayden Watson Try
45th minute: Queensland are in complete control and the Maroons have another try. An error fielding a kick by winger Jope Rauqe handed the visitors an attacking set of six, halfback Hayden Watson ran from the scrum, bumped off Marcellus Iakopo and scored the try. Blues 8 - Maroons 22.
Alize Clarke Try
42nd minute: Queensland have burst out of the gates to start the second and controlled the opening exchanges of this half. The pressure has eventually led to points as the Maroons orchestrated a well-executed right shift. Halves Taj Lateo and Hayden Watson combined while centre Alize Clarke finished it off to extend his side's lead. Blues 8 - Maroons 16.
Kick-off: We are back underway at North Sydney Oval, with this match hanging in the balance. NSW will have first use of the ball as they look to finish over the top of their rivals. Queensland have their sights on a clean sweep after winning last night's match and the women's under 19 game earlier this evening. Blues 8 - Maroons 12.
Charge down!
Half-time: Well that was a fairly eventful final 90 seconds of the half. Queensland had a chance to extend their lead with an attacking set but Hayden Watson's field goal attempt on the last tackle was charged down. NSW regathered and received a penalty for a high tackle, handing Carter Mareko his own chance to attempt a field goal. The kick was also charged down, but the Maroons defenders were offside. NSW took the penalty goal to cut the gap to four. Blues 8 - Maroons 12.
Marcellus Iakopo Try
29th minute: The Blues are finally on the board, centre Marcellus Iakopo battling his way through multiple tacklers before reaching out and slamming the ball down. A Queensland error in the set after points handed NSW an opportunity and this time they capitalised. Blues 6 - Maroons 12.
Tupou Francis Try
25th minute: The Maroons have their second, Queensland turning a set of six on the back of a penalty into a try for the second time tonight. Bishop Neal came agonisingly close to scoring himself, produced a quick play the ball and there was no stopping a charging Tupou Francis on the next play. The Blues have had the better of the attacking chances in the first half but it's Queensland who hold a 12-point lead. Blues 0 - Maroons 12.
The Blues muscle up
18th minute: We're off to the Bunker after NSW winger Jope Rauqe appeared to knock the ball on while attempting to catch a Carter Mareko bomb. The on-field decision is no try and the Bunker has supported the ruling of Blues knock on and Queensland continue to hold firm. Blues 0 - Maroons 6.
14th minute: NSW are constantly knocking on the door, but they just can't find a way through the Maroons defensive line. The most recent chance came when Diesel Hagan found space down the right flank, however the hooker's offload back infield did not go to hand and was scooped up by a Queensland defender. Blues 0 - Maroons 6.
Amare Wynyard Try
9th minute: Queensland have struck first, dummy half Amare Wynyard taking advantage of some slow marker defence to burrow his way over the line for the opening points of the match. The Maroons repelled multiple Blues attacking chances, earned an attacking opportunity through a penalty and immediately capitalised. Blues 0 - Maroons 6.
5th minute: NSW have burst out of the gates and they've rolled down the field to earn the first attacking opportunity of the match. There were some threatening carries but the Queensland defence held firm to defend multiple sets before forcing an error on the last tackle. Blues 0 - Maroons 6.
Big contact from the kick-off
Kick-off: We are underway at North Sydney Oval, with Queensland eager to continue an outstanding week in the Origin arena. After winning Game Two of the men last night and the women's under 19s clash earlier tonight, the Maroons under 19s have their sights on a clean sweep. NSW are eager to defend home turf as they look to win back the shield following a one-point loss last year. Blues 0 - Maroons 0.

Full-time: The Maroons have snapped the Blues two-game winning streak to claim their first Under 19 Women's Origin victory since 2023. The four-point win was built on the back of a superb defensively display, with Queensland repeatedly denying the Blues attack. Lilianah Lewis Try
56th minute: Lilianah Lewis has had her hand on everything in the second half and she may have just scored the match-winner for the Maroons. The Maroons have their first lead of the night and there is less than four minutes on the clock. Blues 18 - Maroons 22.
The race is on
53rd minute: Harlem Walker has come agonisingly close to scoring her second try in the space of four minutes. The prop produced a barnstorming carry to get over the line but the Blues scrambled desperately to hold the ball up and prevent Walker from grounding the ball. Blues 18 - Maroons 16.
Harlem Walker Try
50th minute: We are set for a grandstand finish as Queensland hit back to cut the deficit. Harlem Walker dropped in underneath halfback Lilianah Lewis and burst through the NSW defensive line, breaking multiple tackles on the way to the try line. The margin is just two with 10 minutes to play. Blues 18 - Maroons 16.
Kiara McGregor Try
45th minute: The Blues have finally broken through and extended their lead. NSW had multiple attacking sets of six on the Maroons line, the visitors initially held firm but the gaps started to open up as fatigue grew. NSW halfback Kiara McGregor looked up, spotted a hole, threw a dummy and slid straight through to score the try. The halfback converted her own try to take the lead beyond a converted try. Blues 18 - Maroons 10.
All power
41st minute: Another trip to the Bunker with Blues forward Stella Lewis attempting to crash her way over for a try but she looks to have been held up by the Queensland defence. The on-field ruling is no try and replays supporting this call. The Maroons continue to hold firm. Blues 12 - Maroons 10.
39th minute: Queensland halfback Lilianah Lewis is really coming into her own in this second half and has taken control of the contest. The playmaker produced a surging run on the last tackle before putting the ball on the toe, regathering and forcing her way over the try line. The NSW defenders managed to hold her up to prevent the try. Blues 12 - Maroons 10.
Lewis in space
35th minute: NSW have dominated the opening exchanges of the second half and spent the past few minutes in attacking territory but they have not been able to find a way through the Maroons defensive line. Lewis shows her skill
Half-time: That is time on an entertaining, fast-paced half of football, with both teams making plenty of metres with ball in hand. The game is evenly poised, each side crossing for two tries but it's a two-point advantage for the Blues. NSW had a late chance to extend their lead in the final minutes, however the Queensland defence was up to the task. Blues 12 - Maroons 10.
Deleni Paitai Try
23rd minute: These two teams keep going back and forth and it's Queensland's turn to turn attack into points. Five-eighth Mia Byrnes took the ball to the defensive line before linking up with a charging Deleni Paitai who crashed over. Blues 12 - Maroons 10.
21st minute: We're back to the Bunker with the Blues claiming a try however the referee has sent it up no try due to a suspected obstruction. The NSW lead runner made contact with the Maroons defender and it's a simple ruling for the Bunker. Blues 12 - Maroons 6.
19th minute: We're off to the Bunker after Queensland centre Lilliana Nati charged on to the ball only to be met by a big Logan Flether shot. The outside back spilled the ball in the contact and NSW defend their own line. Blues 12 - Maroons 6.
Taylah Falaniko Try
15th minute: The see-sawing nature of this contest continues, with the Blues breaking through to hit the front.
