The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg sides both claimed strong comeback wins over the Storm in Melbourne on Sunday.

Knock On Effect NSW Cup

The Raiders made it four in a row on Sunday afternoon, overcoming an early deficit to claim a 36-26 win over the Melbourne Storm.

Raiders backrower Regan Carr struck first, supporting Ethan Alaia and Sione Finau to score the first points of the afternoon.

Melbourne hit back with a pair of tries of their own before taking a 16-10 lead into the sheds at halftime.

However Canberra's attack flowed in the second 40 minutes, scoring five tries through Coby Black and outside backs, Chevy Stewart, Mark Tuialii, Sione Finau and Kain Anderson.

The Raiders NSW Cup side will turn their attention to the travelling NZ Warriors this Sunday in a double header at GIO Stadium.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders JF Cup side overcame a 20-nil deficit to come back and win 28-24 on the fulltime siren.

The Storm came out of the sheds flying in the first half, dominating the scoreboard to lead the visitors 20-0 at the break.

With a mountain to climb in-front of them, the Green Machine tabled their comeback with an early second half pair of tries to Sylas Simon and James Croker.

Raiders captain Braydon Darmody then stood up when it mattered, scoring a try- double of his own to give Canberra their first lead of the day.

Although Melbourne hit back, crossing for a try in the 77th minute through Waka Hammond as they look to have stolen the win off the Raiders.

But captain Darmody would stand up yet again, placing a pinpoint grubber for Luke Tuialii to score the match winning try on the siren.

Canberra will look to make it three in a row on Saturday against the Warriors in Sydney.
