Canberra Raiders fullback Xavier Savage has been recognised for his commitment to the community, earning a nomination for the 2026 Ken Stephen Medal.

The prestigious award recognises NRL players who make exceptional contributions off the field through community service, leadership and charity work, with Savage's nomination reflecting his dedication to making a positive impact beyond rugby league.

Throughout the past two seasons, Savage has become a passionate advocate for young people, regularly volunteering his time to support community initiatives across Canberra and beyond. He has played an active role in the Raiders' School Blitz program, Junior Club Visits and the S2W Youth Summit, using his own journey to inspire students to build resilience, stay engaged in education and pursue their goals.

Away from official club programs, Savage has also established himself as a dedicated ambassador for Raw Potential, a Canberra organisation that supports vulnerable and at-risk young people. Through his ongoing involvement, he regularly volunteers his personal time to mentor participants, providing encouragement, guidance and support to help build confidence and resilience.

He has also supported club-aligned charitable causes, while continuing to make himself available to members and supporters through fan days, open training sessions, signing events and the Raiders Foundation Locker Room Program.

The Ken Stephen Medal celebrates NRL players who use their platform to create positive change in the community, and Savage's nomination is fitting recognition of the impact he continues to have both on and off the field.
