Round 12 of the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup saw the Bulldogs claim a massive win in their quest for the top four, the Rams and Kangaroos return to winning ways, and the Sharks cement themselves inside the top two.
Goulburn City Bulldogs 34 def. Queanbeyan Blues 28
The Goulburn City Bulldogs sit on the cusp of the top four after a comeback victory against the Queanbeyan Blues at Seiffert Oval.
After training 16-4 thirty minutes into the contest, the Bulldogs railed and produce an impressive display to claim a big two competition points, winger Tomasi Bikaca was at his damaging best scoring two tries, whilst Tyler Cornish was named the Roos club player of the match scoring a try and having a hand in a couple more.
For the Blues, the loss is there second consecutive and sees them sit in third position and two wins back from top spot, Captain Coach Dylan McLachlan returned from injury on the weekend and impressed scoring a try in his return.
The Bulldogs will look to build and secure four straight wins next weekend against the second placed Sharks, whilst the Blues have the weekend off with the bye.
Woden Valley Rams 36 def. West Belconnen Warriors 24
The Woden Valley Rams secured a strong twelve-point victory at home last weekend against fellow top four hopefuls the West Belconnen Warriors.
In an important match for both sides, the Rams claimed victory in a high scoring affair, fullback Tom Scrivener proved the difference between the two sides crossing for a hat-trick in the victory.
Meanwhile, the up and down season for the Warriors continues, with West Belconnen now sitting in sixth and a game outside the top four, Jstar Taupau continued his try scoring form with a double.
The Rams turn their attention to the ladder leading Kangaroos next weekend, whilst the Warriors take on the Bulls in a must win for both teams.
Queanbeyan Kangaroos 42 def. Yass Magpies 0
The Queanbeyan Kangaroos have returned to the winner's circle in emphatic fashion with a comprehensive victory over the Yass Magpies at home.
In the seven tries to nil showing, the Kangaroos bounced back from consecutive losses to reaffirm their position as the ladder leaders, Harlem Cooper and Brayden Omoeboh both crossed the try line for two.
Whilst for the Magpies the loss is a disappointing one which sees them three wins outside of the top four and facing a tough task to feature in finals action.
The Magpies will look to bounce back straight away when they face the Bushrangers at home next weekend, meanwhile the Kangaroos travel to Woden Park for a match against the Rams.
Belconnen United Sharks 40 def. Tuggeranong Bushrangers 14
The Belconnen United Sharks have cemented their spot in the top two of the Canberra Raiders Cup ladder with an impressive victory away from against the Tuggeranong Bushrangers.
A hat-trick of tries to centre Gideon Afemui ensured that the visitors claimed their third straight victory and, in the process, improve their season record to seven wins and three losses.
After the loss, Tuggeranong now sit in seventh position and two wins outside the top four, however after their scintillating run last season, still remain as a top four contender in 2026.
The Sharks will look for fourth straight wins next weekend in an exciting matchup against the Bulldogs, with the Bushrangers traveling to Yass to take on the Magpies.
