The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders NSW Cup side came away with a 26-all draw with the Bulldogs at Belmore on Sunday afternoon.

Canterbury opened the scoring through returning halfback Mitchell Woods, dummying and scoring under the sticks to take an early 6-nil lead.

Bulldogs winger Jonathan Sua followed up with a try to extend the home side's lead out to 12-nil after 15 minutes.

Canberra found some momentum before the break, with a potential try of the year nominee from Ethan Alaia, who scored a double to take a 14-12 lead into halftime.

It was a see-sawing affair to begin the second half, with both sides trading tries heading into the finish.

Bulldogs forward Lipoi Hopoi looked to have had the game won, taking a six-point lead going into the final five minutes.

Step up Raiders winger Sione Finau, who made a line break before beating multiple defenders to race away and score under the posts to close out the draw.

Canberra's finals hopes are well and truly in their sights, with the draw now forcing them into seventh place on the ladder, just sitting one point outside of the top five.
